Default 2004 545iA Tire Size please help!

To all My 545i owners please help me with my tire setup. I am replacing my rear tires Nexen N3000 because the rear driver side inside wall tire has shredded. I have the staggered set up. My front tires are fine and do not need replacing. My choice is to stay with the 275/35 N3000 for $139.00 per tire at my local American Tire Depot or get a different brand for 285/35 for the rear. keep in mind Nexen N3000 are great! they have no road sound and grip very well, the only downside is they do not sell 285's only 275's. Will it look corny if my riding around with different brand rear tires?

I have a 2004 BMW 545I w/ Sports Package #124 Stock 18" Wheels -My front tires are 245/40/18 and rear tires are 275/35/18. What is the likeness of rubbing if i Install 278/35/18 tires for the rear? I want more meaty tires in the rear. Will there be any differences in the ride?

Boost7 The guy at the tire shop was telling me that it could cause the sensors to go off causing the car to break. He also said if i change the rears i would have to change the front. Not sure if he knew what he was talking about. Boost7 post a picture of you're wheels and tires. I would like to see what they look like.
