What a shame. This forum appears to have been taken over by Americans (some of whom are still testing their computer skills out).
Now you have to hunt around to see postings by the knowledgeable guys like ISUK, E60 London , 530E60NL, Tuga, Doctor Diesel, and Mark Yorkshire.

There is a test forum here for tests like this one... and for some of us who are probably driving our admin Lomag nuts, because we make it a second "secret" lounge sometimes...

You're right we should mind to our own issues....I wish we would have started about 60 years ago and created the world in our image when we cleaned up that mess called WW2.

I believe the US is the largest market for BMW cars...get used to it.

Totally mistaken!

I'm afraid most europeans ( and this is a fact not something I'd like to believe) think that America is the biggest threat to world peace today !

Why - perhaps issues like foreign policy, treatment of israel, warmongering all over the place, global warming issues I could go on.

Stu, I guess I will have to agree. If you can ignore the 60 million lives lost in genocide (16 million since 1945) and still sleep soundly, it is much easier to practice isolationism. Also keeps you off the international skyline and keeps funds home for domestic improvement. History of Genocide

I don't understand what Stu's problem is. There is a significant number of posts by people outside of America, people from all over the world. I have found there to be "knowledgeable guys" posting on this forum from all over the world, America included. Dissing people for their computer skills, how punk is that? Don't like the forum, don't visit. That goes for America also.

Hi juan,

Bit of "thread creep" here !

Cars, computing , politics!

I guess I posted when feeling a bit cross. The point is; I used to be able to log on for a few minutes and read great stuff about E60's. The site was an enormous help when choosing my car.
Now I find that the board is effectively " clogged " with crap!
I'm just not getting the entertainment or knowledge from it now so many Americans are posting waffle!
Some threads are not even properly titled and you waste time opening them.
I didn't mean to specifically criticise Lou Dawg - who I'm sure is a lovely guy ... but I do feel a bit "anti American" these days ( along with 200 million Europeans who are anti Bush?). His name just led me guess he was and American.

So I'm saying goodbye , this is the last time I'll look at e60.net.
Thanks to everyone involved and all the posters , it's been great.

By the way JDN , thanks for the link , very interesting reading !

With all respect, I think you're wrong with that statement!
Sometimes it may look like it, but that's just what you see in the media, and most of it is politics! When the US was going to war against Iraq, some European countrys were against it... but actually it was just some politicians who were trying to "look good" - it's easier to be against a war!
