I'm not sure what's up but I sent him a PM asking for the error. Posts in the test forum no longer increment the post count. That change was made many many months ago after some other, what I was classify as "trouble", here.

Hey everyone, thanks for the replies. What was happening is that when I first tried to post a question in(for example) the first topic in "forums" which is E60 Discussion, I clicked on "new topic" at the top and it gave me an error message that I was not allowed to post here, or that I wasn't logged on etc. Well, after posting here at the testing area, it now appears I have no problem. As long as I'm typing here, just want to say that this group here seems to be a great group of people! In fact, some of the members knowledge of BMW and related items is downright scarey! LOL So far I have found this site helpfull and appreciate all the resources here. I will be looking for additional "summer" wheels and tires and adding some modifications like a rear spoiler and possibly some lower body mouldings as soon as my new car arrives which should be very soon. In the mean time I'll just keep checking out your cool rides and enjoying my X-5. Thanks again and hope post some pics soon! Take Care All...Ricstr

Haha I always thought that since other messageboards are like that too... Off Topic and Test Forums dont add "knowlege" to the board so it doesnt inclrease posts counts... it also stop those posts whores from trying to be top dog by just posting in the OT forums.

It doesn't stop me, since I'm not doing it for post counts.
