In the upper right corner is your user name. Clicking on it opens a menu with the option "Messenger". This takes you to your PM conversations.
Which emoticon button is not working?

Look at the top right corner of any page -- there should be a drop-down box with your member name on it. Click that box and select "Messenger" and you'll find what you're looking for. (The PM feature has been completely redone and, in my opinion, is way better than the old version... )

I just tried it on IE6 and it works...
If you click on your username there should be a drop down menue...
The emoticons should be added to your post if you click on them...
Maybe on of the add-on's that you need are disabled?
Let's wait for Lomag to chime in, maybe he knows what the exact problem might be...

Hmm .. I'm not really sure either what could be going on but it's some problem on your individual PC. If the regular drop down box is not working you can view your PM box by going to this link directly:

You might have one of the IE security settings enabled that is preventing the server from showing you the drop down box (or run other scripts).
Not sure how familiar you are with these settings but to test things, you may want to go to Tools/Internet Options and either reset the security settings for the Internet Zone to default or temporarily change them to something like "Medium" and see if that fixes things.
Another thing you could do is add this site to the "Trusted Sites" list which will reduce the security settings to see if that's what's getting in the way here...
