Now I can't find something that I never knew was there.

Thank God!

Here's more information on what everyone needs to do to get them working again (if they're not already working...):

Hmmm.......now I'm having another problem. I did a search under my user name sometime yesterday and the top 5 or 6 posts had the orange square next to them. Clicking on the orange square took me to the first unread post, as it should. The problem is that last night when I searched under my username from home again the same 5 or 6 top posts had the orange square, but clicking on the square took me to the last post of the thread which I had already read earlier in the day. So there should have been no orange squares in front of those threads.

So this morning I tried the same thing one more time and again it showed orange squares in front of the threads that contained no new posts in them. There should have been no oragne squares there, but I went ahead and clicked on each one again, then shut down the browser, reopened, and this time the squares were gone. It's sort of like what Mark described in his first post above where he would mark all posts as read, yet the squares would come back........except in my case it's not all the posts that are marked as unread with the squares, it's just a few of the recent ones. So at this point I don't know if it's fixed for good or whether the same thing will happen again. I will keep you posted.

Rudy.......do you mean just the Temporary Internet Files? I cleared them but I still have the same problem. It's still intermittent where sometimes the "new post squares" function correctly, yet other times the squares keep coming back even on threads that have no new posts
