...guys - i have this shortcut key as a bookmark that gets me straight to a new screen with all the new threads that have been posted on e60.net since i last visited the site. the nice thing was a small yellow box next to the thread title, and clicking on it would get me to the thread with the last post that i have not read...

don't get that yellow box anymore - please heeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp...

I don't think you did anything but something isn't working properly. Since yesterday, I've noticed that the boxes show up for some posts but not all posts. Also, even when I have a little box, when I click it, it doesn't always take me to the first unread post. It's strange...

Maybe some index rebuilding or something has to be performed? Lomag?

...i even went as far as uninstalling firefox but the effect seems to be still there. as you say, some threads have that box, some don't... i wish there is a solution to this problem - got somehow addicted to that feature and my shortcut bookmark.

see you...

Hey Guys,

I updated the forum software from 2.3.1 to 2.3.2 yesterday. I also rebuilt and optimized the mysql db which is what I think may have caused the problem since those settings are saved in a temporary mysql table which got wiped out. I think I noticed the same issue except that for me, all posts would contain the unread box, eventhough I marked all posts as read, when I came back, they should still be marked as un-read. I clicked on "Delete cookies set by this board" on the bottom by the board stats. After I re-logged in everything has been normal again. Strange...

I don't see a "delete cookies set by this board" by the stats. Is that browser specific?....I'm using IE7.

It's there -- right above the Board Stats box on the right side. Although the problem is not solved, I have boxes but it doesn't seem to go to the next unread post when I click them. I'll submit a ticket with the IPB folks to check it out.

Lomag, for what it's worth, it seems to be only broken while using the "view new posts" feature. Of course it's the only feature I use so it's clearly something that I'd love to see fixed!
