Definetely. Lots of confusion, would be good to get it all in one place

There's broad consensus the stock stereo system (regardless whether in US or Europe) isn't up to snuff and hence there are a lot of posts spread out across e60, e61, mods etc sub forums pertaining to audio upgrades. I believe the issue is of a magnitude that warrants its own sub-forum under the 5-series e6x forum.

I think there's enough subforums already. We could actually seperate out a lot of the things from the parts/acessories/mods forum into subforums of that category but not sure it's needed(??)

It just happens to be an area of great interest, and one where the E6x strangely is most definetely sub par. Confusion abounds as to the best solution; I know as I was through many threads today, that are spread out allover, so while I note your reluctance and it is obviously your prerogative, you have my vote for a dedicated audio forum.

I too think we have enough subforums.
If we start doing this we also need a subforum for wheels, as the interest in wheels is much higher than in audio mods, etc....

Too many forums are not a good idea. We need to keep it as simple as possible!

in my view it isnt simple if you cannot easily access it; too aggregated and it becomes an ocean. too fragmented would be if we had an audio subforum, and the subdivided in amps, speakers, headunits, and then further divided in brands and categories... but just overall audio or perhaps ICE incl other electronic bits such as navi, idrive etc makes a lot of sense to me. I hope you'll keep the thread running long enough for others to chip in.

We would need audio for the e60 and all others.
We then would need the same for wheels, which is much more important from the number of posts made, also for all different BMW's.
Then we would need regional classifieds, for private members and vendors.
And so on and so on.
Ther is simply no end.
We have themods section and if you need to find specific threads there's allways the search function.
We can't add too many forums.
