Order of the postings

I don't know if anyone else feels this way but it would seem more convenient if the postings that get attached to a topic ,on this site, started from most recent.

Example: I post a topic and it gets a few replies. It shows up with my originial posting first with the replies listed in order of the date they were written. A few weeks later someone adds a posting. It gets appended to the end. Not a big deal if there are only a few postings. However, if there were a lot of postings the latest one is still on the last page of the topic which takes a bit of work to find

Is there anyway to allow the latest posting to show up first?

When you go the first page of a sub forum, any thread that contains posts that have been unread by you will have a small orange box in front of it, and if you click on that box, it will automatically take to the first unread post, and you can read down from there.
