So I have been thinking about this for a while now...

You see an E60, let's say at work in the lot, or out somewhere. No E60.net stickers. Could be a member here, but probably not. Wouldn't it be great if we had little cards to stick in the window down near the driver's door handle, inviting the owner to come and visit the forum?

Just yesterday I noticed a new jet black 530xi (with 123 style wheels no less) with 30 day tags at work, parking in the same out-of-the-way area that I do. Wanted to write a note or something... do you guys agree we should make a design that we could print and carry with us? (for those inclined to do this sort of evangelism)

I've had this idea as well. I've had thoughts of leaving a message with just "e60.net" for them on the windshield but I never have pen and paper on hand.

That's so funny. I thought of this a while back too. Every time I see an E60 with a young person getting in, I want to stop and ask them if they know about E60.net. I think it's a great idea.

We should build a template and just post it on the site for those to print at home. You can keep it in your car for those moments when you need it most.

Good idea man!

Rudy,
I think the UUronL meant something like business cards to leave on the other e60. Not the e60.net clings that some of us already have on our cars. The threads you posted went from talking about placing cards on e60s to having stickers on our cars.

Those owners of e60 who will find out about this forums will be very thankful for sure. Like me, when I first find out about this forum from another bmw forum with no e60 "traffic". They will know more about their car. This forums is such a great help to DIY owners and to those who just want to learn.

I think you may have missed the point. Way back then, during the discussions about things like stickers and clings, I mentioned the concept of having business cards to do exactly what UURonL is suggesting. (Read the posts I linked to, not the whole thread.) At that time nobody seemed too interested in my concept but I'm glad it seems to be getting a new life! The beauty of this idea is that once someone comes up with a design, a .pdf sheet can be made so we can all print our own copies. Unlike the clings, there is really no cost to do this!

Hope this idea materializes into something concrete this time...

What age limit do you propose?
