Invision Power Board is a fairly decent software package for this board. I use vbulletin. vbulletin is considered the one of the finest for boards and has newer version with significant changes and enhancements. The problem is there are always a lot of bugs that need to be flushed out. The latest vbulletin version already has over 200 bugs in the production release. I usually wait 6-12 months after a version has been released before I consider upgrading.

 

I don't don't mind the upgrade, eventually everything will get fixed and back to normal. There's always problems and bugs when something new is out (just wait for F10 ). I personally liked the old web page because it was so much simpler, even though we might get some cool new features with this upgrade. Still many of us might still like the simplicity and convenience of the old one. Which is why I always avoided websites like 5post.com, bimmerpost, etc, there's so many buttons and choices, you have have to make 10000 clicks before you get to a topic of your liking lmao. but I I'm just hoping this upgrade is nothing like that :-). Just my opinion guys but the color (faded, opaque bluish) is kind of dark and unwelcoming, the old website had brighter more eye catching colors. what else.......(I'm actually thinking typing me helps me think)..........Oh maybe we can add some type of feature that lets us (users) pick our own interface colors, ex: if we wanted our web page interface to be black...etc...IDK I'm just making up ideas..... ")

Works for me too...some members are just too high maintenance.

Too bad he'll miss out on all the improvements in the PM module...

 

Love the new look, its finally unique! (I think) there were too many random forums that had the same UI... Great work mods! clean and simple...

 

Did anyone else notice that the board software doesn't like C's Bimmer either? When you quote his posts, instead of showing his entire member name, it just uses the letter "C"...
