Hey Guys,

Lets let it go. I personally agree that long signatures are not so good but text signatures are not that bad. Huge pictures in signatures on the other hand are a problem. After following this thread I've made some settings changes related to signatures and other things:

1. No html allowed in signatures
2. Signature field limited to 1000 bytes (still a lot) -- it was 10,000 bytes before, it's wierd why the forum software limits this field in terms of bytes instead of characters but it does..
3. My ride profile field now limited to 5120 charaters instead of 1024 characters
4. Quotes of quotes are no longer allowed, meaning if you try to quote a post that already has a quote, the initial quote will automatically be removed so we won't have anymore posts with 5, 10, whatever many quotes inside.
5. Some other changes I can't remember anymore, but all for the better.

Take it easy!

Good deal Lomag. I will fix my sig to comply--whatever I need to do.

OK, mine is a done deal.

Problem I have with sigs is when forum member creates a virtual website.

I noticed that I could have kept the HTML in my sig. Are the new quidelines in effect for all or just for those that join up from now own. I don't care except that I'd like to know for sure who the new rules apply to. I though it was clear until I realized that I could still use HTML. Regardless, all my HTML is removed, and, no matter what, I won't put it back.

I don't hate it, but I'd get tired of seeing it over and over. Below is what Lomag said about sigs. I think his software change should take care of the current sig issues.

"1. No html allowed in signatures
