I've been on a couple of other boards that run the same software and they have a "Fast Reply" mode that pops up w/o all the smilies, etc. If good for short, quick replies.

Can we get something like that set up?

 

I'm sure it's possible since there's a setting for it in "My Controls."

I've put it in although I never understood the point of it. Why not just load the normal reply page?

And now that I am so used to hitting the last button on the left I allways hit the "fast reply" instead of "add reply"...
I'm not a fan of the fast reply, but it's good to have it for those who missed it!

 

You guys are missing one important detail...

You need to enable the "Open Fast Reply automatically when available?" setting under "My Controls", then "Board Settings".

Now the fast reply window will be open automatically at the bottom of the thread. No need to push any buttons.

This should help Iceman's post count tremendously!

 

I have it enabled, but still use the regular reply... I'm old school...
