Just interested if people use this function...helps me find new posts in all the sub-forums...always use it.

I've been using it since way back (and even more recently when it was still called "View New Posts")...
Now, with the new software, I like it even better (called "View New Content") because in your individual board settings (called "My Settings"), you can set the "View New Content Method" where you have a choice between showing you the new content since your last visit or content you have not read yet.
I prefer to set it to "Show me all content I have not read" so it won't mark anything as read until I select the "Mark all items as read" link. On the older forum software, I don't think we had this choice and sometimes, I'd hit view new posts and wouldn't have time to go through all the new ones in one sitting. When I returned later and hit view new posts, I was only shown the posts since my last visit, even though I didn't read everything and didn't mark all posts as read.
Get it?
