Different Gallery Software?

have you thought about changing the gallery software?
Personally i'm not very fond of the IPS Gallery ... i've been using Gallery (http://gallery.menalto.com | http://gallery.sf.net) for years now ... about 4 years or so.
I used to run a rather large VW/Audi based image hosting site on a customized version of Gallery (version 1.x) with more than 5K users, pulling about 15mbps traffic.

the new G2 works with IPB on a user Sync script .. I am currently working on integrating G2 into an IPB installation.

Yeah the gallery software from IPB isn't all that good. I've modified the one used here a little bit too look much better. It integrates nicely with the forum though which is why we stick with it.

I haven't seen the new version yet.. I read about some moaning and growning from people who upraded to it though so I'm still holding off here.
