There will always be complaints, can't please everyone. My initial thoughts were the same that it's a bit bright but after using it the last week or two I don't find it to be a problem. Based on some of the complaints though I was playing around with various background colors yesterday afternoon. Currently the background is pure white, #FFFFFF. We can't use anything dark since it will mess up all the text so the new background color would have to be something off white. One color I liked yesterday was #F8F8FF which was an off-white with a kind of blue/purpleish hue. It was less bright but you could basically not see a difference unless you compared the two directly side-by-side. If any html experts out there can suggest some better color codes please let me know! I'm willing to make a change so long as we find a new background color that works.

can we get rid of those green color pls?? that is absolutly driving me nuts...
try to change background to FFF8F8 F8F5F1
and remove green with 2C94E3 398EB8

FFF8F8 was a bit red-ish. F8F5F1 was better with gray hue. Something with a blue hue would be nice but is hard to find with all the other various blues already used on the forum. The green I don't think can be changed as easily.
