tell them to kiss you a$$ if they dont like what you are giving away. I find that this forum is probably the best and most informative that I have been on.

I got a call from a BMW UK rep today. They didn't like one of my posts that gave away some inside information and asked for me to edit it. Proves that BMW do indeed read this forum.

Guys...just to add more fuel to the fire...
I had a meeting with my BMW Service Manager a few days ago -- my wife's car was acting up [she has a tricked out E70] and they were giving her a bit of a run around scheduling an appointment date. So, the 'man' had to step in and switch cars with the wife [my poor E60] and take care of her problem.
The kicker came when I told them that there were a lot of similar issues reported online in terms of service problems. My Manager asked me "where," and of course I mentioned E60 Forums first...
You shoulda seen the look on that guys face...a huge smile and sort of a newfound respect. Come to find out he's a member on this board too!!!
It's amazing how this is spreading. I think I should have a forum decal on my car just to take it in to service...may get some more respect when it goes in!

I remember back on RF, every once in a while there was a reply from "BMW NA Customer Relations" to some specific post of a problem with a car.
Usually, the reply was simply asking the original poster to call the 800 number and give a reference number (contained in the reply) to get further assistance.
I wonder what we can do to get them to monitor our board? Clearly, it would be a benefit to both BMW and to our members here...

Great idea Rudy! What was your handle on RF?
On RF, I was "Rudy" as well -- gotta go now, I just threw up in my mouth a little...

That "great idea" was like four years ago! BMW NA Customer Relations does, from time to time, monitor this board (as well as some other BMW people) but they don't post very often.

On RF, that was really a nightmare. Night and day difference compared to E60 Forums. Hats off to our mods. ![Clap](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/clap.gif)
