As the title says, I believe we should have an Alpina section on this forum.

Much like the M5, only waaaaay more exclusive (especially in the U.S.) and some would say better-performing BMWs, I believe an Alpina section can open a whole new dimension for modding. How? By picking apart the various Alpina setups, we can learn to make "bootleg", home-made Alpina mods - particularly in those markets where Alpinas are not available, or have limited availability. For example, E60-based Alpina B5 and B5S used OEM BMW parts in the suspension, but not all of those parts are E60 parts. What is usually said about Alpinas is "since Alpina has pretty much unlimited access to BMW parts bin, they can pick and choose parts, like control arms and other suspension parts, from across the entire range of BMW models..."

I believe this can be infinitely beneficial to modders who want OEM-quality setup on their project cars. I, for one, would LOVE to find better longer-lasting control arms for my car, etc etc etc.

Vote above

Alpina FTW!

There are not so many Alpinas out there, so I doubt we need a special forum for them.

That is true - Alpinas are rare. But the other forums that have Alpinas are not as mature or helpful as this one. I thought it would be a great fit... anyway, I'm sure even without the section for Alpinas, maybe we can get started talking about them some more
