Default Help with metal grinding noise from front passenger side wheel.

Help Please. Lol so today was really wet out an I had to drive around an hour trip on the freeway, I didn't hit anything or anything besides maybe going a lil too fast over a bump but nothing that should have hurt the car at all, an besides issue started after I got off highway. I pump gas an drove a few miles thru town, came to a stop sign an had to make a late kinda sharp right turn an almost right after the right front wheel started makin what sounds like a metal on metal grinding sound. I couldn't feEl any vibrations in sterring nor any kind of resistance that I could notice at the time but the noise is there constantly except once I get under a few miles an hour an sounds worst at a certain point when actually pressing breaks but if I turn/swerve back an forth I can almost make the noise go away. Does anyone haveany ideas about how I go about to checking this an hopefully fixing the problemor at least fixing it good enough to.make trip to an from.work one day till I can fix it?

I would take my wheels off and spin the rotor. You should hear and see what the issue is from that. It's hard to give you an answer on the explanation given. It could be the brakes are too low. Feel around the rotor and make sure it's smooth with no indents any where

You could have chucked a rock into the caliper. Look through the wheel spokes.

Default Grinding noise, metal tapping

Just had this issue and found a vid on YouTube, from Mike MDs, What's That Grinding Sound? BMW 3 Series. My bmw e60 was making a strange noise, found this vid and it was the exact noise, metal grinding and tapping sound. Turns out it was the hand brake cable brackets had failed a cable had dropped onto the drive shaft, couple of tie wraps sorted it. Hope this helps someone else.
