Default Water ingress inspection and module relocation in trunk

I have my 07 scheduled today. Has anybody had this inspection yet?

Well it has been in the shop 2 days now. Evidently, I am their first customer to have this done.

I guess nobody else is having this campaign done? My car is going to be in the shop for at least another week, as the dealer had to order parts from Germany. BMW has not supplied the dealers with a kit to complete this campaign.

Starting week # 3 and no car. I wonder if it was stolen or the dealer did something to it?

I haven't yet taken my E60 in for the campaign because I have been waiting for the official notification from BMW. I thought the settlement required BMW to notify all owners of this recall within 60 days of the court signing off.

That your service is taking so long seems to imply that you had damaged components in your trunk. I would have thought that simple relocation of functioning parts would have only required the dealership to have the car for a day.

I feel sorry for you being stuck in an X1 for so long. When I've had my car in for dealer service, I've gotten X3's, 328's and F10 5 series cars as loaners. Driving these new 2015, 16, and 17 cars always made me miss the great driving experience of my E60. All the cars drove worse than my 2008 528i. Additionally, the X1, X3 and 328 all felt cheaper and less refined than my 5, and the F10 while luxurious was really just a boat in terms of driving experience.

Which dealer has your car?

I haven't had the inspection done as my wagon has too many miles and I just bought it, but the PO moved the modules already and I removed the piss poor drain plugs for the panoramic roof.

We've had some hard rain lately and I haven't had any issues.
