Trying to upgrade to a Msport steering wheel and need a round airbag.
Thanks,
Will
Thanks,
Will
I bought 2 sports airbags in one week and sold them all. I bought both of them on ebay.
Also, there are 2 types of round sports airbags. You should make sure to get the correct one that will fit your sports steering wheel as you dont want to make the same mistake I did.

Thanks for the info...I'll be scouring ebay! I thought the round airbags were basically the same except the post 9/05 builds required the horn rewiring? I'll take anything I can get right now...I haven't seen too many pre 9/05..which I need. I'm willing to try and mod the wiring. Is there anything else I should know?
tthanks,
will

Its not the wiring thats different...Its the horn contacts....The difference is the position of the copper pieces that make contact for your horn....

BUT, here is the good news, all you have to do is buy the correct mounting plate in your steering wheel to match the airbag. Cost me $40 from the dealer instead of having to buy a new airbag.
I bought a PRE-9/05 Steering wheel but my Airbag was a POST-9/05.

I didn't know that...The air bag cost alot of money!!!! Took me a while to find a real nice one.....I still haven't installed mine yet....A steering wheel mod cost around $900 to $1500!!!I just need to buy the retro kit, but not sure if I'm going to do so!
Part #2 is what you'll need to swap out (Cost me $40 vs. $893 for New Airbag):
Man, it's crazy how I knew NOTHING about steering wheels, and all of a sudden i'm a effing genius!

Haha yeah, I almost bought a brand new airbag from the dealer ($893) to fit my PRE-9/05 Sports Steering Wheel. Instead, I opted to just change out the mounting plate in the steering wheel to a POST-9/05 mounting plate to accommodate the POST-9/05 Airbag.
