I kept having problems with my LED license plate lamps with Radio Shack resistors as the lamps kept burning out. Since I switched to the R Dash LED license plate lamps, I have had no problems.

khoalty sells LED license plate bulbs for about $6 and they aren't throwing codes on my car so far.
