If your front Miro's are ET38, I wouldn't touch them with spacers. The same goes with your ET40 in the rear. The max you could do is around 8mm in front and back, which isn't worth it IMHO.
Here's an ET45 in the rear with the same sized rims and tires you have, to give you an idea.

Remember, your "car" itself doesn't have an offset per se. The ET43 is the typical offset that BMW uses for their 18" rims (123's) and ET43-F, ET55-R for the 124 staggered rims.
