WTB E60 530i SMG transmission
Do you guys know anyone selling a good working smg transmission?

My Ride: 530i SMG
The first one i went to said that i need a new tranny. $7100
I`ll bring it to another shop tomorrow. They fix only transmissions. been in business for over 35 years, i guess thats a good thing.
Looks like its pretty hard to find an SMG for 530. I can only find for M3/5/6. I don`t think they are the same.
The bad part is that i have no ride at the moment and i ordered a new x5 F15 diesel that supposed to be here at the end of July and 3 days ago a got a call from my SA telling me that there is a delay at the factory and i`m gonna get it in Sept.

That`s what i thought too. These guys repair only BMW and i guess thats why they ask 7100. But i still dont believe that the tranny is gone just like that.
The funny part is that the car is drivable for about 10 min with no problem. When the engine warms up the tranny acts crazy. Until than, the gbox works perfect. They said that the SMG pump is in perfect condition....

I also got a price from Qualityusedtransmissions.com for $2040 free shipping for an used one. Is that too much?
Btw, when i look for transmission on these websites there are 3 options to select:
1) automatic
2) manual transmission (6speed) sequential manual gearbox
3) manual transmission (6speed) w/o sequential manual gearbox
Which one is it? #2 or #3?
