for some strange reason the wheels have the incorrect tyre size fitted. I've asked him for clarification.

 

This ebayer is driving me mad. Ive asked him twice now for clarification in my best broken german (courtesy of babelfish) but still this guy refuses to answer. Bids are now approaching ?1k so expensive if for second hand wheels only concidering the correct tyres will cost ?700.

He even has a set of M5 wheels quoting the same tyre size which is neither the original M% configuration nor the e60 upgrade 172 configuration.

any fluent german speakers who could ask him on my behalf to clarify the tyre size and post it on his listing.

 

The only factory supply in the UK are Contis, it is possible that Michelin don't do the same sizes so he has gone up in diameter by a size. Looks like an acceptable combination to me though, especially if new.

 

N0 reply and the auction has ended at 1800 euros!!! thats a lot to pay for the wong size tyres. he has another set with the same tyres on m5 rims. I think i'll ask him again.

Never heard from you about group buy for the 172's.

Sorry but i couldn't wait any longer, i've ordered a set from salesafeter.de. They charged me 2200 euro (?1530) including delivery to the UK. I paid by bank transfer (It only took 24 hours to reach there account) they were disapatched on Tuesday and will arrive on Friday, i've checked with the UK courier that is delivering them and they have confirmed the shipment is in transit and that they will be delivered Friday.

The best price i got quoted in the UK was ?1835+VAT = ?2160 (?630 saving can't be ignored)

Will post pics when fitted, let me know if you want more details.

 

As you can see i was waiting to get an answer from that ebay link. Have you sorted out a jack and brace. I knew i didnt have a spare wheel but i could believe it when i realised that you dont get anything if you have the run flats. Its crazy it doesnt even allow you to rotate your tyes!!!!
