I have a guy I've done business in the past with (with previous cars) that specializes in high quality overlays for your head lights, tail lights, and other applications on your car. His product always fits perfectly and never weathers over time. He does a lot with the e90 community and I discussed with him today the idea of working up some products for our e60s (especially something similar to the euro sticker product that was so popular on here). He has photos of some of his work at www.bluebatmobile.net and needs an e60 member in the San Diego area to take measurements so we can move forward. Does anyone have any interest in doing this for us so we can have some new product!?
His info is: Andrew Mercado, 619-246-5207.
Reference me (Adam) when you call and that you are a 5 series owner and he'll immediately know what you are talking about.

I used a black vinyl today and perfectly made the orange reflector non existent. It looks good. Ill post pics up tomorrow. We tried a very dark tint but you could still see the orange a little bit. Looks great if you want it like that. It can be done to the tails as well but not with vinyl with a tint. Good luck with this.

I'm familiar with Andrew's work. A lot of guys in the local Mazda group used him for their overlays and had nothing but high praises for his stuff. How much would he be looking to charge for the overlays? I'd be interested in an overlay for the entire tail light. I would be looking for something lighter in color. I don't want to completely black the tails out just darken them a little bit.

Sounds good! His website is www.bluebatmobile.net everyone should check it out for ideas. He typically makes interior overlay accents (more popular on 350z's and what-not, roof overlays (yes you can have a black overlay for your roof which I'm considering on my alpine white 5), tint overlays for front/rear lights, overlays to remove/accent specific colors for front/rear lights etc.
