These Supersprint Race Mufflers only have about 17,500 miles on them.

My recently purchased 2006 M5 came with a Supersprint exhaust (including X-Pipe), and while the overall sound is fantastic ... it was too loud. So I have put the stock exhaust back on. (I already sold the X-Pipe ... the loud part - sorry).

Price for the two mufflers is $850 plus shipping.

Here are some pics:

Members on the M5Board say the SS are quieter than Eisenmann or Meisterschaft. Here's a good review on the M5Board that should give you a good idea.

I'm surprised you found it too loud. This is one of the more quieter exhaust systems for the M5. Are you going to try another exhaust?

It wasn't the SS mufflers that were too loud - it was the SS X-Pipe. So for now I put the original stock exhaust back on (all in one piece). I could have replaced the X-Pipe with the stock mid-pipe resonators and continued to use the SS race exhausts, but I didn't want to slice apart the stock exhaust unit.

I'm sure I will go with some other after-market exhaust in the future (Dinan probably), but this was the low-cost, quick, reliable move for now.

I had the SS Street version on my M5 before my RPI system and found it to be almost identical sounding to stock. It was too quiet. I heard Race is a bit louder than street, but much quieter compared to Eis, Mei and even RPI, for that matter.

These should sell quick on M5Board.
