Thanks man, I love it already
How is it in your 535??? You might be the first person to have the SB in a 535. Interested in hearing your feedback.

PS - Isn't it great?!?!?!

The car is nice so far but I seem to be having a couple of issues. The most significant other than the sticky shifter is when I accelerate in sport mode the RPMs go way up and then when i let off the gas they stay high and gradually decline over maybe 10 seconds time. I don't know if that's how the sport is supposed to be but it seems like it should shift to the next gear but isn't. If I pop it into the next gear manually the RPMs calm down and it feels like it would normally feel had it all shifted properly on it's own. This was all happening even all BEFORE installing the SB and the SB really doesn't affect this issue at all. Aside from all that I expected the SB to "Sprint" me off the line the second I tap the gas but there is still the delay. However, after the short initial delay it kicks in nicely and I get that satisfying fighter jet feeling where I forget that my transmission is about to blow up and experience pure momentary bliss

It should not be shifting like that. I had that on my old E39 530 Sport and had to take it in to have it fixed. It was something with the timing. It's annoying too, because you're like, "damn it, shift already!" And of course, it's still reving at 4k-5k rpm and just doesn't sound or feel good. I would take it in and have them look at it.

No problem! glad to be of help. And boy it was easy to install today. How was the drive back home?

I love the feel and pull of your car. Gotta love TT.

I was sad when I got into my car... hahaha. And you know, I finally felt the difference without the SB, but after 5 minutes. I was back to normal driving with my heavy foot.

Also, definitely check out what's going on with your car. Maybe just a computer glitch. Good luck Dan! Thanks again for coming by.

The ride home was quick and I cut off so many people I lost count

Guess I'll add the shifting problem to the list of problems on this 2 week, 450 mile old car. I was going to try the transmission reset trick but decided I would prefer to have the techs look at it.

Does the SB make it difficult to start off slowly if you choose to do so?
Looks like I'll find out how it fares in the nasty ice/snow storm today :/

I suggest removing the SB before you bring in your car for service. You don't want the dealer to potentially blame your problem on the SB.

Thanks, I was already planning to do that. It's a quick job to take it off anyway.

I believe the delay is still there b/c of the turbo lag. SB isn't going to get rid of it. I test drove a 535i and 08 550i back to back a couple of months ago and noticed the turbo lag.
