They'll prevent the vibrations you're going to encounter, should you not use them.

The rings will be shipped on the wheels. The wheels are 74.1mm inside diameter. The BMW 5-series has a 72.56 hub. Thus, the rings fill the open space. Most replicas come with 74.1 mm inside diameter. Tire Rack also sells the rings for $3 each.

There will be vibration if the rings are not perfectly centered (or if you use the wrong lug nuts), and this was my problem with the replicas.

The vibration disclaimer that I put on the wheels is very important because I hate vibration. I am discounting the price from $650 (new) to $250 (in excellent condition--no scraches, scuffs, etc.) because I did not want to deal with the issues.

Hope this is ok.

Just wondering , is this a common issue for aftermarket wheels? Now Im concerned with vibration and weight.

Its not that I dont wnat to buy OEM, its the notion that I will be driving my car near construction sites , and Im afraid that I;ll end up damaging the wheels . NYC is rough I tell ya ..
