Default My 2.5" dual Magnaflow exhaust & CF diffuser for your stocker - 550i

Have a baby on the way, so looking to trade the 550i in soon on something cheaper. Checking to see interest in swapping exhausts. Prefer the stock 550i sport exhaust with the black tips.

You pay for labor to have both fitted, plus $400 for my dual stainless 2.5" exhaust with tips and carbon fiber diffuser. Labor and piping alone was $450, diffuser was $300. Exhaust is a year and a half old. It is NOT mandrel bent.

(1) Magnaflow 11386 (2.5" dual in/dual out muffler)
(2) Magnaflow 10426 (2.5" resonator mufflers)
(2) 4" quad angled tips
(1) Carbon fiber diffuser

There's a video in my signature of how it sounded when new. Not the greatest video, but it's kind of hard to get a new one with nobody to hold the phone.

Obviously prefer local or somewhat local to Carpentersville, IL 60110.

If interested and want an in-person listen or ride along, just let me know.

Thanks,

Tom

Nobody wants a complete exhaust and quad tip diffuser for 400? But people will buy a muffler with a foot of pipe on it for more?

I guess. That's a shame.

Just to clarify, local means I would drive a max of like, 2 hours or so. So hope that maybe opens up some options for you guys out there.

I'd prefer to keep them all together since it would be needed if someone wants the exhaust. If anything changes, I shall let you know.

I just saw the video and am now curious - that sound is awesome.
Can anyone help this newbie out and answer if I can fit this onto a 545i? (I admit, I'm a newb to exhaust modifications)
I live in Chicago, and drive by OP's area regularly. I'd be interested if it can work for me.

Yes, this will fit on your 545i. Make sure you get the passenger side exhaust hanger and bracket from the OP if you decide to purchase this kit.

West, this is very similar to yours too I think just 2.5 instead of 2.25 . Do you know if piping/snaking location is the same as 535 and if it will still snake through ARS? I think your photos showed it was ok but wanted to check. I haven't been able to get much clear answer on pipe size for the N54. 3in seems the size people are wanting for high flow custom fits, what happens when you use 2.5in which is the same as OE after second cats? Just not as loud or will it also impact low end torque?

Also, where are people getting the replica rear bumper that supports the diffuser? I heard trinity and umnitza bumper won't fir the regular dual diffuser? Sorry to highjack Tom.
