Ah, i probably should have mentioned that! It will only fit RHD vehicles. Didn't really think when writing up the info. Sorry

Jon, make sure you are selecting the "direct link" address on photobucket. I got the same error message before I figured this out. Totally off topic but... I couldn't imagine driving and shifting with my L hand. Does 1st gear still start to the top left and progress to the right through the gears?
. Holy sh.., and I drive with the left hand too!

rogerj, yes the 1st gear is still in the same place as you guys. However, being the M5 with SMG, it doesn't have that set up. I couldn't imagine changing gears with my right hand!! Lol!! Thanks for the advice on the error message too. Will have a stab at that next time i upload a pic.
530 nz, as for shipping the iDrive, i don't know how much it would cost, but i reckon you'd be better off buying one from a supplier in either NZ or Oz. I can look into it for you though if you wish. I think the controller is the same throughout the regular E60's and the M5's, but if i remember correctly, there was a change on the facelift year. Someone may like to validate this for me though... Hint hint!! Lol!!

No it doesn't mate. It's not as smooth as that. It has a more rippled edge if that makes sense!?
