MY LOSS IS YOUR GAIN! I recently purchased a Genuine BMW M5 Shift knob from RoverActive and paid $268 for it. The problem is I dont know how to retrofit it using wires. The wires are not easy to plug into the shift knob and you would have to buy the wires yourself but I HIGHLY recommend this mod because its a clean and well worth job to do on your free time especially over the summer. I am selling this for $140 OR BEST OFFER!! and you get the shift knob itself. The wires you have to buy yourself and you have to use your existing boot anyway. GREAT UNBEATABLE PRICE. Please let me know. Thanks!

the shift knob itself is much shorter that the original stock shift knob but the length of the shifter itself is unchanged. It looks great when driving in the dark but never got a chance to put it on.

On 2nd though -- You indicate in the DIY thread that you DID connect all the wires and damaged the shifter when you installed it. So much so that it won't stay on any longer like it should. Not feeling right about this. In this ad you indicate you don't know how to install it, but in the DIY you said you already did and only complaint was what you did to it after.

What gives??
