if anyone is interested in a lease assumption, I have no idea how it works as I have never done it, but my payments are 589/month for a september / 2005 build 2006 530i with premium, sport, power rear shade and comfort access. Also have added legal limit tint (35%) and Mtech bumpers. PM works best for me.

Simple. Someone wants to assume your lease. BMWFS runs their credit and determines if they're credit worthy. You pay the lease transfer fee of $425. The lease then belongs to them and you are in no way responsible for the lease any longer.

What might help you get someone to assume the lease is to offer an incentive like $1000. That will help knock down the monthly payment a bit for the new leasee.

True - especially now given that lease rates are dirt cheap on the current 530i as BMW readies the new 535i.
