Agreed, stick with 19's. In SoCal the worst bumps are usually near railroad tracks and there are plenty of those in the Riverside/Moreno Valley/Perris area. I would personally go with silver wheels on a black car, but that's just me (I like the contrast) like member BulldogE60 - those are some NICE wheels on a black car.

yes, she drives it sometime to her work place and school. I mainly drive my 00 Dinan3 for commute and sometime drive this to san diego, but just the other day some thing flew at me on the highway. First I though that it was just a plastic bag and I though it was okay till the sun came out. My hood is minor scratches from it. So now, I try now to take it that much anymore to san diego.

I live in SoCal and I have 20's with no drop. They ride fine and dont rub 99% of the time on my car with sport package.
I would reccomend not getting 19's just becuse more options with 20's. but I say choose on the rims and not on the size.
It all depends on what look you are going for.

+1 Very true, it's just that 1% that would keep me worried. Also 20's weigh more (usually) so you can expect slower acceleration and slower braking, so if performance matters then 20's may be a little too much to bear.

Other ramifications of getting 20's over 19's would be the frequency of getting new tires based on the profile as well as accelerated brake wear due to the increased weight distribution from bigger/heavier wheels. In addition to the above stated concerns of increased possible wheel damage.

Call me paranoid, but when you also starting blinging out your car more and more, it attracts more attention, both good and bad.. in LA, I've even heard of exhausts being stolen.. on regular cars for metal/resale.

I have 20" and no rubbing. It's really about your preferrence. Look or performance. If you're on a budget and prefer performance, I'd go with the 19" but if you like both, looks and performance and willing to pay, 20" is the answer

Frank you can say that because you have those gorgeous BBS's. Most other 20's will cost you performance, but not the wheels Frank has, they have got to be some of lightest 20's around.

Then definitely PM any of our best vendors: Trinity Autosport (Nerweezy), Acute Performance (acuteperformance), or Eurorev (john@eurorev)
