Actually it will work with the manuals, but it will have a less aggressive effect. This price is lower then wholesale, so somebody JUMP ON THIS!!!
Why do they make a seperate SB for manuals and autos if the auto SP works with manual transmission? Would the manual work with auto, but have a less aggressive effect?

workin' out is bad for your modding habbit!!

pls keep us posted with how the upgrade goes. make sure the dinan auth dealer does a test on the waste gates first before doing the upgrade. there has been issues with faulty waste gates.

They make different models for each transmission to better suit driving style. The technical data that I received from the company that creates these, Boulakas Dynamics, is that in the BMW all are interchangable. If you use a manual in an auto you will get a more aggressive response.

In the Mercedes crowd there are ones for manual, auto, and amg. The amg is the most tame and the manual the most aggressive. With a lot of torque on hand it is easy to spin the tires anytime you hit the gas in low gear with the AMGs, even more so with the Sprint Booster. We had a customer try the manual in the AMG and had to return it as the car was not driveable until after 40 mph or so.

We have one manual left, the auto has been sold, if anyone wants to give it a try. I'll do the same deal I gave the other guy, 265.00 shipped, brand new.

You sure about that? This has been discussed in some great detail on this forum the last 2 years. If it does work on a manual, I would be concerned about possible error messages in iDrive or what have you. Just don't want any of my fellow members here to get something that's not suited for their car.

Wow, it seems everyone is interested in dinan software upgrade.

I'll probably gonna get that software upgrade in couple weeks.
I just purchased brand new dinan CAI and exhaust.
Riverside BMW is having a sale on dinan parts.
I just got CAI for 720 shipped and exhaust for 1050 shipped!!!
I saved more than $600
I'm going to install CAI, exhaust, and software at the same time.
Maybe dyno after mods.

I'll keep you guys updated.

In regards to which SB can be used on which trans, they are all universal, just different resistors inside. You can even throw a mercedes one on a BMW and vice versa with a tiny bit of tweaking.
