Your OEM amp in the trunk is a low pass amp, meaning that there is no full range or high range signals there. You cannot use anything in that OEM amp to run any other speaker but the woofers. You need to tap the iDrive high level outputs to run the components. I have a harness that may work with the E60 iDrive as well so you do not have to cut any OEM wires.
What I would do with an E60 and the HiFi is:
- MS-8 processor
- OEM Individual Audio center speaker channel
- Rainbow SLC 210.25 NG (front)
- Rainbow SLX 210 (rear)
- Kicker SSMB8 (if you find them) or Morel ADMW SW 9 underseat woofers
- Image Dynamics ID10D4 V.3 trunk sub
- JL Audio HD600/4
- JL Audio HD900/5
- HiFi amp harness (no LOC)
- MASK/CCC/CIC harness (I sell that one too, for the 3-Series but it fits the E60 as well)
For a more modest system, I would do:
- JBL MS-8
- OEM Individual Audio center speaker channel (powered by the MS-8)
- Rainbow SLC 210.25 NG (front)
- Morel ADMW SW 9 (underseat woofers)
- Image Dynamics ID10D4 V.3 trunk sub
- JL 900/5
- keep rear OEM speakers (powered by the MS-8)
You need a processor that can defeat the OEM EQ curve built in in the MASK/CCC/CIC and once you do that the you need the processor again to get everything to sound coherent.![Thumbsup](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/thumbsup.gif)

Improved harness is now available:
![](http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x100/guatibiri/DSCF0332-1.jpg)
- add a trunk sub and/or power the underseat woofers with a separate amp, no need to cut OEM wires or harness itself
- quick underseat woofers connectors with 12AWG wires labeled for easy connection to your aftermarket amp outputs
Price the same, $85 shipped...

As a quick and efficient solution for those that would like to either add a trunk sub or replace the OEM woofers with SWS-8 (or doing both with harness modifications), this is a custom made to order, plug 'n play complete harness with a built in, either 50W or 150W max Navone LOC -depending on your OEM audio system- with remote turn on signal output right at the harness itself -no need to run a remote wire from the cabin.
This harness connects between the OEM amp and the OEM audio connector using OEM connectors, so no OEM wires need to be cut, spliced or tapped. Just plug it and add the amp. Navone LOC takes care of the Top HiFi (Individual Audio, Logic7) and the standard HiFi OEM amp high power woofer outputs, so interface with any aftermarket amp is guaranteed.

Applies to the E60 5-Series and 6-Series. Can be used with the Top HiFi (Individual Audio, Logic7 or HK Premium systems) of the 1- and 3-Series. PM for details.
Price: $85 thru PayPal, shipped in the USA, 1 year warranty in case of defects or malfunctions. Warranty void if harness is modified in any way.

quick question regarding this harness, is it possible to add a sub box for the boot running off a monoblock AND keep the woofers underneath the seats running off the stock amp?
cheers.
also payment was sent![Smile](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/smile.gif)
To be more precise,
i have a JL 250/1v2 Amp i wish to drive either a 12w3v3 or 10w3v3 woofer in the boot, along with the factory woofers under the seat, i originally wanted to change the woofers under the seat to the SWS8X and run them in 2 ohm on the monoblock, but from what i have been reading they dont put out too much bass.
also i have no ski pass in my car, so not sure if i would have to cut it out, or sufficient bass will travel through to the cabin.
any help would be much appreciated.
cheers.
