Do you mind to elaborate more:
1. What is mat sensor? And what is the negative impact if we dont fix this?
2. What caused the thigh support not working? Is it mechnical (stuck etc) or electrical? It may be costly if we need to change the motor.
3. Can you post pic of the electrical controlswitches at the side? Are they all working?

The mat sensor senses whether there's a passenger or not. Typically, when there's a passenger present the airbag is activated and if there's no passenger the air bag is inactivated. If you don't fix it, there will be a constant error message in your idrive "passenger restraint". The seats were purchased in this condition, not sure if it's electrical or hardware problem. I'm leaning towards hardware, because I can hear the motor working but nothing happens. I purchased these for $1000 and I installed them on my car for 6 months and aside from the problems i've mentioned everything else works. i'll post up the pics when i get the chance.

These seats are amazing, this is a steal for the two of them. Each seat from BMW retails for well over $3500. Someone jump on this.

Wow what a deal id buy this if I had extra cash lying around I understand comfort seats actually feel softer than standard seats too?

 

Hell yeah! I went from a 2005 545i with regular seats to a 550i with comfort seats and it's a world of a difference, in simple terms... it's like sitting on pillows while driving!
