For Sale:
BBS RK Ball-Polished 8 1/2" x 18" wheels fitted with Hankook Ventus V4ES tires.
Wheels are 8.5J x18H2. The offset - ET 13 - is mildly more aggressive than stock E39 or E60 wheels (stock E39 and E60 are ET 20) which push the wheels out towards the fenders slightly. Wheels come with snap rings for E39 (74.1mm) as well as classic E38, E60, E65, E46, etc (72.6mm) fitments. The finish is "Ball-Polished" and is very bright, with a clear coat. One wheel has a 1/2 inch chip out of the clear coat and another has a small area of "rash", most likely from the tire mounting monkeys (see pictures).
Tires are 235/40-18 Z rated Hankook Ventus V4ES tires. Front tires used 1.5 summers, rear tires less than one full summer on an E39 528i, and almost three months as emergency duty on an E60 550i (again, see pictures). The tires perfprmed admirably in their summer duty on the E39, and suprisingly well when pressed into late winter snow duty on my E60 500i. Even though the tires were the wrong size for the car, they did very well in the late winter Wisconsin snow-covered roads. Tread depth is 9/32nds. They could be considered a three season setup (spring-summer-autumn) for cold weather climates, or a "winter" setup for more mild climates without tons of long-term snow and ice.
The wheels are about $350 each new, and the tires around $150 each new. I've got something in the area of $2000 invested - I'd entertain offers roughly half of that (in the neighborhood of $1000).
I WILL consider breaking up the wheels and tires.
Thanks for having a look!
