FYI for all you guys interested - I paid $1,400 for my 40" brand new (#LN40B650 - Series 6) so this is a awesome price for anyone out there looking for a 55". The Series 6 is Samsung's best line in the 55" LCD version.

def a good price for a 55". you can barely see those scratches once the tv is mounted, trust me i have the 46" 850 series and i have a few of them myself.
