Default E60 / E61 CIC Conversion kit

I'm selling my CIC that has served me well in my '08 E61.

The kit includes

CIC head unit pulled from a 2010 E60 (6512-9222876-01)
CIC display pulled from the same 2010 E60 (6582-9211696)
Display cable
CIC emulator (to enable nav, etc)
Camera emulator (for backup camera)
GPS antenna (not shown)

$650 + shipping

This kit does NOT include the LCI climate controls and CIC console cover, but can point you to a salvage yard that has them in stock.

03-08 E60/E61

There are a few additional items that you will need to complete the conversion. You will need

LCI climate controls
LCI console cover plate for climate controls and CIC

The IDrive controller upgrade is optional, and is not required for the CIC to function. I used the CIC with my old controller in my '08 E61. If memory serves me correctly there is a coding option to specify the controller type.

09-10 E60/E61

This is everything that you need. Your vehicle already has the updated IDrive controller.

All this is well documented in the forums, but hopefully this will help anyone considering the conversion.

CIC from e90 will not work in E60/61 or other direction, different gateway.

are the LCI climate controls required? I quite like the pre-lci climate controls.

I'm not 100% sure. My car had M-ASK, so I needed a new faceplate to cover the taller head unit, and the non LCI climate controls don't line up with the e60 faceplate, which has the bezel for the climate controls built in.

If you are upgrading from CCC, you may not need to upgrade the climate control panel. Since this upgrade is very well documented, I would read up on the forums to be sure.

Depends if the car is LCI or not, regardless of CCC or M-ASK. LCI cars have a different panel for A/C controls and the faceplate is different. This is for the upper part of the dash. For the lower part, again depends if your ashtray is pop-out model between the buttons (LCI cars) or in the lower part (pre-LCI). This will tell you what type of trim do you need and if you need to change ashtray location. As CIC and CCC are full height, they need a trim without the in-dash pocket like M-ASK has.
