I was going to make my own aux port, I was just wondering if it mattered which spot I put my left and right wire coming into the 12 pin connector (if I put it backwards if it would work or sound bad). In his video he says white goes into spot 2, then red goes into spot 6 (I am assuming black is his ground). I know it is universal when you buy a cable that left is white and red and right but I just wanted to make sure since he custom made his. I was also wondering if I needed to use a specific gauged wire or if that would mess up my sound. Sorry I am a noob and I really don't want to open my dash until I have no questions lol.

Is this the cable I need to do to? Where do I hook up this cable to? Thanks for your help!

I found the cable on ebay now and looking to get it soon. But it was a little concerned on the removal of the stereo after watching the install video.. the video shows an older E60 that has the shifter that goes all the way back to the "drive mode" so you can remove the stereo.

I have an 08 E60 LCI that has the joystick looking shifter that doesn't go all the way back. Will I still be able to take out the stereo so I can install this cable?

My shifter looks like this: A Few E60 And E92 Parts - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum - E90Post.com

Anyone install that cable yet on their 08-10 E60 LCI?

Do you have to code the car to recognize a newly installed aux input?

If yes, does anyone have any recommendations for a reputable place in the NYC area? Thanks in advance!
