HI i'm looking for 4 boxes 27" length 12 depth it's for 20 inch rims with tires. I tried Uhaul thier boxes is not right. their way too big. Any info would appreciated.
I tried a few rims shops picked up 20 inch boxes but doesn't fit because the tires are on the rims. I"ll try walmart and staples and furnitures stores next.

I think when the Tire Rack ships wheels with tires mounted, they just strap circular foam sheets sandwiched between the wheel face and circular pieces of cardboard. Then they run those nylon straps around the entire thing to hold everything in place. If you think about it, there's really no need to protect the tire tread from damage due to shipping. Only the wheels need protected...

Boxes are not needed. Using thick or several layers of cardboard, make circles about 1.5 inches smaller then the tires diameter. Place the cardboard on each side of the wheel/tire and secure with wide packaging tape. Take to your shipper and off they go.
