I have a complete set of Madeira wood trims available.
I just bought these last week, from someone who swapped to Piano Black, to do a bit of a project with.
I was going to get them recovered in Carbon Look leather, simsilar to the new Z4 M trim, however my original quote of 'around ?300' suddenly went to 'between ?900-1200' after I get the trim! And I am not going to bother in case I don't like it.
I am now thinking of sending my Aluminium Cube off to be anodised black instead, so this wood set is now surplus to requirements.
I would be willing to part ex this set for something else as it is always nice to have a spare set in case I fancy a change. Even if it was the basic Titanium trim, I may even get it resprayed.
Anyway, Lawman has shown an interest, but thought I would put it up on here too in case he doesn't go for it.

Also, what is Black Piano Trim?? Is it a wood grain or it the trim just pained glossy black??

Trims off an M5 will fit a regular E60 and vice versa, I think the only bit that is slightly different is the bit next to the air vent on the drivers side, the one off the M5 is a regular rectangle cut out where as we have a bump just under the control to open/close the vent, but still fits and looks fine.

I am going to call CarbonImage on Monday and see how thin they can supply it, and how strong it stays, it may be easy enough to cement onto each section if thin enough.

google, so gIzzE ask a quote for the trims, they should give you 1-2 mm thin stuff. I have the same project, will show after August. Keep me plz updated how much they quoted and if they have other colors.

I was going to get the .9 to 1.1mm thickness. As it will be cemented I don't think we need it too thick, and it will be easier to get round the gaps for the air vents etc. without getting creases in.
My main concern is the ashtray cover, that may be a pain?
So if anyone wants to swap the M5 wood trim I have for their basic trim let me know, seems a shame to ruin this stuff, it is an extra ?370 on an M5 over the standard trims!
