Paint your calipers or upgrade them, don't get covers they are tacky. If you're content with the tacky look ebay sells them pretty cheap, but they are very obvious when viewed at from a side angle. Also as far as color goes I'd go with red only if you have some aftermarket wheels to compliment it.

would the cover hinder heat from dissipate?

If not, then do whatever you like just don't get the cover that is too big because it will make your rotors puny.
