My Ride: 2004 545i, April 04 build- Titanium Silver/Gray/Poplar, Nav, PDC, rear & side sun shades. Added DVD/TV w/ monitors on headrests, dealer activated bluetooth phone for Idrive, Formula One Pinnacle Tint, Replica ACS front spoiler, #124 staggered wheels w/ non-rft Pirelli tires.
I have a brand new BMW 3 5 6 Series (E60) Video Interface with I-Drive control unit. The units were purchased from TVNav2Go. I was not able to find anyone who is familiar with the interface to install them. $475 Shipped within US.

My Ride: 2005 545i steptronic Silver Gray on Black, fully loaded, smoked rear lights, colored roundels, B&B exhaust, K&N airfilter, 20" Beyern Mesh Black powder coat, umnitza blue angel eyes.
lets say if I were to get this item, once I install it, what features will be available instantly w/o wiring a dvd player or video game console??

I thought about purchasing this myself at one time. Are the instructions good enuff for you to install? Will BMW install it for you? It's a shame to take a hit like that for a unit you didn't even use. Will they take it back? Good Luck.

The pain to install it
Might void your iDrive/monitor warranty
When you do the 6-3 (I believe it was 6-3, not sure, somebody chime in) in your iDrive knob (Move knob down and to the right side) you will get a blank screen (Since you won't have any video source hooked up)
