My Ride: 2004 545i, Sport Pkg, Premium Pkg, Cold Weaher Pkg, Navi, L7, adaptive bi-xenon's, Silver Grey w/ Dakota Black Leather

Asking $300 shipped anywhere in the US. I just got back from the dealer and they were able to upgrade my 2/04 production to include bluetooth from the TCU. I do not have a need for this anymore. Please PM me if interested. Everything is in brand new condition. Never Used!!!

I have an 03/2004 545 and have been told by my dealer that he can not upgrade me....how did you get the bluetooth option done. I supposedly have bluetooth prep. but they tell me that my production date of March 04 is a couple months shy of having the right equipement/software to have the upgrade. Advice??

Hey there,

I have a 05/04 production 530i and have asked the dealer to tell me how much to upgrade to bluetooth. Can you tell me what they charged you and what the TCU is? APparently mine was enough of a late production like yours. What did they have to do to your car to upgrade?

A 5/04 production car only needs a software update to become bluetooth capable. Just installing the software isn't enough however. I think the dealer needs to actually activate it during the upgrade -- in other words, it doesn't just automatically show up.

Do a few searches and you'll most likely find additional details...

Apparently when my SA checked the specs on my car he said there was Bluetooth but it just hasn't been programmed. So he charged me $180 for the reprogram and I am loving bluetooth! Are you sure that its the complete kit? My car doesn't have bluetooth and I'd love to get the bluetooth, but that means you're gonna have to ship international. Please ship it for me.
