Is 7HP the best HP we can get out of it ? Is this accurate?

 

I believe the rating is listed without any other engine mods added. The 7 rating is a stand alone AFE and nothing else added. Of course Throttle body and other mods would raise this number i believe.

One question: What is the difference between the filters: Pro-Dry 5 & 5R?

 

Good question! I picked the 5r too - I'm guessing the other is for areas where rain/water is minimal?

 

Although mine is for the 2007 530, I LOVE my AFE Intake! It makes SUCH a difference on the entire sound and feel of the car. Combine that with an exhaust, sprint booster and ECU remap and you guys are set! Hahahaha!

Looks like the Pro Dry is oil free and the pro 5 has a light oil on the filter
