A couple of reasons really. When i bought the car my monthly mileage was about 4-500 but since starting a new job in July this year, it's now over 1000 business miles a month & that's not doing the running costs much good as well as depreciation.

Secondly i feel given i'm expecting a new 997 Turbo in March 2008, it would make sense to actually save some cash for the next 12-18mths & invest some of my expensive car money into property & run a sensible car for that period.

I'll hate to see the M5 go, but common sense says with my current mileage & desire to save a few ??'s, the car really should go now. I've actually only owned the car since May this year so just over 6mths.
