It’s with a heavy heart to say it’s the end of the road for my 2006 530i. I have to get rid of her by the end of next week, so please let me know if there’s anything anybody wants from that’s easily removable and shippable. I’ll part with larger components, like body panels etc, if you’re willing to pick up in the greater Bay Area. Things like headlights (need polishing), tail lights, or other easily removable and packable items are game (cup holders? glove box?) If interested, send me an email (jmarongelli at gmail)

The car is a titanium silver 2006 530i lowered on Ksport coilovers (shot). Front bumper and driver skirt have rash marks. Mileage is 173k. Have original suspension with approximately 75k miles. Have RPi ram air scoop and cat back exhaust. Black kidney grills. Mtech 2 angel eyes. K&N air filter.

I shipped the car back from overseas and it was not starting when it arrived. Evidently the shippers fried the DME from their attempts at jumping it, and it’s now sending random signals and getting miscommunication errors. I had a bucket list of additional maintenance and repairs to do after coming back stateside, but the cost to replace the DME, battery, program them, and then do my list are just too much for the car’s worth. Additionally, I’m in California now and on federal property, so I can’t leave the car here any longer without a passed smog inspection, which won’t get done in time due to work related travel.
