Over in what sense?
Bangle transferred to the management job mentioned in the article about 2 years ago, if I'm not mistaken, with van Heydoonk taking over, so that's hardly news. He also seems to confirm that the new generation of cars will keep evolving design in fairly radical ways, which is also very Bangle. Or am I missing something?

Its vital for a brand to be immediately identifiable, to have that look and feel which can only be theirs, and Bangle has moved BMW on but kept that BMW unique.
Don't get me wrong, I don't think everything he did was perfect ( the 7 will never do it for me ), but the brand has to evolve or die.
He's been a designer at the forefront for many years - who can blame him for moving on and giving the design team some room.
One thing....many people who have an interest in cars, including those who don't drive BMWs, have heard of Bangle - his name generates argument and discussion; how often do you hear the same over Merc, Audi, Lexus designs and designers....

I think the 745 was probably his best design.
That car is just gorgeous. I actually prefer the 745i over the new 750 rehash. I loved the thin taillights on the trunklid. Gave such a modern look.
And, if you just look around.... you'll see that everyone seems to be copying the Bangle designs.
Look at the new S-class. Complete rip-off from Bangle.
Even Lexus and Toyota have been sneaking in little Bangle-esque hints.

I like the 745 over the 750 myself! Actually a mix and match would be perfert. 745 rear and 750 front with the 760 engine would be perfect!

Yeah..... that would be cool.
So would having Angelina Jolie genetically spliced with Jenna Jameson... bred into the ultimate, hottest-ever, super-slut..... but alas, we can only dream.
