It's actually part one of a three part series they're running on Speed called "BMW: Birth of a Sports Car."

Here's the schedule (Part one aired at 8pm but you can see it again tonight at 1am EDT, 4am, at 8am tomorrow morning, and 3pm this Monday. After that, part 2 will be shown next Wednesday starting at 8pm and follow the same repeat schedule as above. Part 3, well you get the idea...)

I thought it was pretty good...but again, I am new to BMW so I enjoy anything that's BMW related

They covered mainly the designing of the 6 series... I'm not sure if they covered anything other than that in the beginning since I missed it.

I think you'll find it's worth watching. So far, it's all about the 6-series but I found it really interesting and well done. The three parts include design, testing, and production so I imagine the entire program will follow the 6-series throughout those three phases...

i thought it was alright because it was (trying) to focus on the 6, however, when watching I noticed that it used many "filler" parts from the DVD that BMW sent out several months ago about design, heritage, etc. (the interior designers picking colors, wind tunnel, etc). I thought that they skipped through some potentially interesting elements by skipping through some of the "processes" of the design rather quickly even after alluding to going through several of the topics in the voice over. I think i'm going to call BMW and see if there's been a DVD put together specifically focusing on the 6 since this last one they issued and distributed.
